Blurton Millpool

This is a five colour reduction linocut of the old millpool at Blurton, Stoke-on-Trent. It used to feed the mill wheel at the the colour mill, grinding minerals for the pottery industry.
 
This is one of a very limited edition of six, it's one of the earliest prints that I made when I cam back to printmaking after quite some time! The print area measures 212mm x141mm, and the paper measures 285mm x 192mm. It is printed in water-based ink on BFK Rives archival paper. Each print in the edition is hand inked and hand pulled, so each has variations and is unique. The print will be sent flat in a reinforced envelope.
