Originally made for the green and black challenge in the printmaking magazine Pressing Matters, this A4 linocut of Minkstone Pottery's bottle oven, in Longton Stoke-on-Trent, is a bolder simplification of the original A6 version. The bottle oven used to be part of a 'range', which was housed inside a brick factory building with just the top of the chimney visible.
It is printed on a sheet of Japanese Ho-Sho paper which is just smaller than A3, using Cranfield Caligo Safewash relief printing ink.
It will be supplied rolled in tissue paper in a cardboard tube.
