St Bart's

This is one of a limited edition of 11 handprinted linocuts of St Bartholomew’s Church in Blurton, Stoke-in-Trent.
 
It is a four-stage reduction, meaning that it is made using a single piece of lino, being carved out a little more for each successive colour. No more prints can be taken as the lino is almost destroyed by the end of the process. The area of the print is approx 20cm x 13cm, the paper is approx 28cm x 20cm. It is printed with Caligo Safewash relief inks on Japanese Ho-Sho paper.
